LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — On Tuesday, Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux (GA-07) hosted a Small Business roundtable discussion with 14 local AAPI small businesses owners and Small Business Administration (SBA) Georgia District Office Director Terri Denison, SBA Supervisor Lender Relations Jeff Patterson, and University of Georgia Small Business Development Center Gwinnett Area Director Glenn Kruse.
At the meeting, Congresswoman Bourdeaux heard first hand how the pandemic has impacted their businesses, how they have navigated different SBA programs—such as PPP, the Shuttered Venue Grant, the Restaurant Revitalization Grant as well as EIDL—and how Congress can support local small businesses.
Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux said, “Georgia’s 7th and the greater Atlanta area are full of so many Asian-owned small businesses doing great work. I am grateful for everyone who joined today and shared their insight on what Congress can do to help small businesses and the community they serve recover and thrive as we continue to recoup from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
